Softwares that I Can't Do Without

I will miss using these softwares very much if they were uninstalled from my laptop. Sometimes, when I use someone else's computer/laptop, I feel very awkward when I press Crtl andSpacebar to launch Launchy (a file launcher from www.launchy.net) on their system. I am so used to it!

Before I play music or watch a movie I make sure I have already installed Windows Essential Codec Pack from http://www.mediacodec.org/ on my system.

I also organize my Start Menu using SMoz from http://smoz.sourceforge.net/ since I'm still using Windows XP.

Inspirational Quotes

Three inspirational quotes:

  1. "The world belongs to the enthusiast who keeps cool." - William McFee

  2. "Example is not the main thing in influencing others, it is the only thing." - Albert Schweitzer

  3. "It is not the critic who counts, not the man who points out how the strong man stumbled, or where the doer of deeds could have done better. The credit belongs to the man who is actually in the arena; whose face is marred by the dust and sweat and blood; who strives valiantly; who errs and comes short again and again... who knows the great enthusiasms, the great devotions and spends himself in a worthy course; who at the best knows in the end the triumph of high achievement, and who, at worst, if he fails, at least fails while daring greatly; so that his place shall never be with cold and timid souls who know neither victory nor defeat." - Theodore Roosevelt

Bible Verses

Three Bibles verses I like:

  1. "That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life. For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God." (John 3:15-18 KJV).

  2. "But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint." Isaiah 40:31 KJV)

  3. "When thou shalt beget children, and children's children, and ye shall have remained long in the land, and shall corrupt yourselves, and make a graven image, or the likeness of any thing, and shall do evil in the sight of the LORD thy God, to provoke him to anger: I call heaven and earth to witness against you this day, that ye shall soon utterly perish from off the land whereunto ye go over Jordan to possess it; ye shall not prolong your days upon it, but shall utterly be destroyed. And the LORD shall scatter you among the nations, and ye shall be left few in number among the heathen, whither the LORD shall lead you. And there ye shall serve gods, the work of men's hands, wood and stone, which neither see, nor hear, nor eat, nor smell. But if from thence thou shalt seek the LORD thy God, thou shalt find him, if thou seek him with all thy heart and with all thy soul. When thou art in tribulation, and all these things are come upon thee, even in the latter days, if thou turn to the LORD thy God, and shalt be obedient unto his voice; (For the LORD thy God is a merciful God;) he will not forsake thee, neither destroy thee, nor forget the covenant of thy fathers which he sware unto them." (Deuteronomy 4:25-31 KJV)

List Of 3

Each List Of 3 is a blog post consisting of a list with 3 items.

Why three? Because it is convenient and fun for me.

What kind of lists? Ranging from website to funniest jokes that I like and want to share with the world!

The label or tag for this post is ListOf3.

6 Websites I Get Email From...

Here is a list of 6 email subscriptions that I subscribe to that have interesting and uplifting content.

Let us start the list with 01. ThisDaysThought.org, everyday an e-mail containing "a Christian quotation, Bible verse, and occasional smile, meant to provide inspiration and encouragement in our walk with God" is sent free and without any advertisements.

I like reading the "News that Inspires" from 02. DailyGood.org. They also send out inspirational quotes with interesting news, articles and "and a suggested action that each person can take to make a difference in their own lives and the world around them."

I subscribe to 03. ThoughtForDay from ethought.com, these emails contains "three sections of inspirational and educational thoughts from scripture, including links to various online resources." There are also other inspirational emails options that one can choose from to subscribe.

04. Laugh & Lift.com brings "smiles and encouragement to Christians since 1997". I receive emails containing inspirations and clean jokes.

05. CoolSiteOfTheDay.com is itself a cool site. You may discover cool sites to visit that you may be interested to visit again and use, they also let you rate the website you visit (the website you vote on could win Cool Site of the Year Award) and you can also submit a site that think is cool.

Other clean jokes daily email subscription is 06. Clean JokeOfTheDay.com.

It seems from the above list is that I like a lot of jokes and inspiration! What do you subscribe to that have interesting and uplifting content?
